On my 2011 tdv8 if stood for a few weeks it makes a bang when pulling off from inside of the garage. My partner had to rock it to release what seems to be the hand brake. We don't activate the handbrake so assume it comes on automatically. So my question is, is there a way of stopping the hand brake from coming on whilst in park position? |

I'm not aware of the brake coming on automatically but I get a similar jolt on my other car when it's been stood for a while. I've always attributed this to the brake pads sticking on the discs, especially if it's been put away whilst wet. A bit of rust soon accumulates and the "bang" you're experiencing will probably just be the pads freeing themselves.

It does. You can stop it though...it's in the manual....
