Consumption 1 and Consumption 2 on dash

L322 TD6, on the dash display there are 2 fuel consumption displays, cons1 and press stalk and cons 2 comes up. they have the same figures. Why have 2?

The later cars now have 3. Trip A, Trip B and Trip Auto with the last one being only for the current journey.

Yeah, but it's fairly useless. If you stop to fill up it resets to zero. Even my old Skoda managed to work out that a 5 minute stop didn't mean a completely new journey Rolling Eyes

Thanks guys, I replaced the Head unit with an aftermarket on so no longer have the control functions from the O.E unit to set things. I suppose they can't be reset from the steering wheel controls can they?

I have herd it rumored that various screen functions can be done with NavCoder http://www.navcoder.com/ And while I still have a copy of NavCoder, I no longer have an L322 to plug it into, and I can't find an obd socket in my RRC Rolling Eyes Mr. Green Mr. Green

I know that the clock can be set from a pc with NavCoder, and it can program everything on the ibus Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

I'm not too sure, I'd be surprised if it did, as I know it wont switch between NTSC and PAL cameras for the rear, but NavCoder can. FYI NavCoder can only see things on the ibus... most of the systems are on the kbus... but in the earlier BMW cars anything that is linked to the Nav screen is doing via the ibus Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... And what cable do you need to connect the PC to the OBD socket?
