Not sure that The 3.6 tdV8 suffers the same turbo drain fault as the 4.4 tdV8. G reg 2.5VM Vogue Portofino red 1991- 1999

cheers.. I'm surprised there was mention of this anywhere.. mine is out of warranty anyway so guess I need to keep an eye.

The 3.6 is set up differently to the 4.4 so I wouldn't unduly worry about this! Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

Scotcruz Would have a quick look at the top turbo hoses (take them off takes 5 mins) as a starter 4 ten just to check they aren't starting to split and give the MAF a clean. Black smoke is generally overfuelling so that would be where I would start. If everything checks out then i wouldnt worry too much. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
