Front Wiper Regulator Arm

The arm connecting the wiper regulator to the passenger side wiper came away yesterday.(Travelling home through Doris, pulling tin tent!!!)
It's just a plastic push-together joint that is worn and won't stay together when popped back on.
Can I get a replacement part for this arm ?......or is it a whole new regulator mechanism required?

Advice appreciated.

Tim

Right from what I can see on microcat it is a complete assembly Evil or Very Mad

Whistle So seeing is it's about to be surplus to requirements... how about trying to fix it? Is there some way of drilling into the ball joint so it can either have a washer and self tapping screw or nut and bolt added to hold the arm in place? It's not going to last forever, but that's the sort of repair that could get a few more years out of the rack, and then give you plenty of time to acquire a bargain Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... You can only get the whole assembly - about £180!

Happened to me, I popped the whole connecting arm off, then put it back on the opposite way round (it's symmetrical, doing this mean the worn joint is pushed down onto the other connector, rather than working against gravity and being pushed up onto the ball socket at the wiper arm) - has worked fine ever since (about a 18 months and 15k miles so far....) 2007 Zermatt Silver TDV8 Vogue SE - now sold but was a great car!

Thanks miggit and GraemeC.

I might try a repair first - Does anyone have experience of these linkage repair clips...?

Might be a possible mid term solution if any good.

Well....turned regulator arm round and - after plenty of grunting and swearing, as it's very fiddly to get purchase and enough force - managed to push back on to passenger side wiper and the worn side now sits on driver side of mechanism. Have ordered a clip thingy to keep the worn (now driver side) together. Not sure how long it will last - but I have both wipers working at the moment Razz
Thanks again for advice.
