One of the LED bulbs in the middle of the unit has gone out.

Presume it's a new unit that is required, if so, as it is sealed unit will the LR warranty cover it, if not is it easy to DIY replace?

Mine has gone as well but got refused by LR warranty as it is a light bulb. Whole unit was going to cost £150 fitted. I haven't changed it yet but in believe they are about £80 on eBay. It will be good to see if they pay out I might try again.

LR Warranty say as this is a sealed electrical LED unit and not a bulb as such, it is definitely covered by the extended warranty.

Car booked in to have it replaced next week.

I had one where the RED lens came off and exposed what was underneath, it is a whole LED unit not just a single bulb that can not be replaced. The whole light unit assembly had to be replaced as you can not buy individual components.

We'll having booked the car into a MD to have this replaced and having dropped the car off on Saturday with no courtesy car available, got a call late this afternoon to inform me that these units are on back order! And would I like to delay the fitting until May when the next service is due
