Rear Boot seal

Hi I need to replace my rear boot seal as i have a leak near the top left of the head lining it seems to be working its way round the seal but not the seal bit between tailgate and body the actual groove it sits in !! The metal fingers inside the seal seem to be corroded when squeezed between thumb and forefinger.

Any way my question is are the ones from island4x4 and britpart okay or is genuine best Sad

Thanks

Are you sure you don't have a build up of mud / leaves / general crap on the top of the seal as I did when I had a similar leak. It was like a dam and the water was coming into the car. A good clean and it's been dry for nearly two years! Thumbs Up

I got a genuine one from Dan@DuckworthParts... he has his own slot on here! I think it might have been cheaper than Britparts!! Give him a message and then decide Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

No 100% it's clean and clear in that respect, the seal is broken down inside the rubber not gripping the ridge tightly

Re: Rear Boot seal

Some of Britpart stuff is pretty low generic quality, especially their rubber components, Be careful, check to see if it is a. O.E part Britpart bagged or just a pattern part
