I know that with the deployable side steps the 2 post lift is a no go unless you have the 4x4 post lift adapters but with the chrome tubes or fixed side steps can the 2 post lift lift the L322 on the jacking points with the standard arm adapters or do you still need the 4x4 adapters?

Anyone who has the running boards and can take a picture of the jacking point from side on would help massively to me !

Sorry don't know the answer to your specific question - though I've never had a problem getting the trolley jack under the jacking points with fixed steps in place on an '07 and chrome tubes on an '02.

You'll have it covered, but I just thought I'd do a reminder on weight. My 4 post lift has a 3 ton limit so a no go for my RR ... you'd have to have a beefy 2 post to do the job.... Mike - MPx

I had mine on a 2 post lift a couple of times without any worries, and I had factory sidesteps (running boards) If memory serves me right it had the longer spacers fitted to the pads and we had to put the car in high mode to clear them, apart from that no issues.... unlike trying to user a jacking beam on a 4 post lift... that was a mission!! Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

What have you done to your Range Rover... they leave the factory at 2.6 tons.. unless it has blacked out windows and there's a bulge under your jacket... cos the only ones that I know that go over 2.6 ton are the armored.. about 4 tons.. but it's a secret, and I have to kill you...blar blar

As for 2 post limits, unless it's very old you'll be hard pushed to find one under 3.5 ton rating, most are 4 ton. It's not the capacity of the lift that's the problem... it's the quality of the concrete that it's bolted to.. When I was training to be an Insane Mechanic , sorry ment Nissan, we were doing a PDI (pre delivery inspection) on a brand spanking new Patrol, on our shiny new 3.5 Ti Bradbury 2 post lift, lifted the car about 4 feet off the ground, BANG!!, the anchor bolts gave out on one of the posts, the dropped on one side and it got pinched under the post... RIP, damaged shell Lucky though, if the roof had been lower there would have been a strong chance that the car would have fallen off altogether  Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Mine is a Nussbaum rated to 3 tonnes. Indeed the Kerb weight on the RR is 2.7..

Miggit, that is my concern, I don't have the 4x4 spacers and don't really want to buy them just for one car. Was hoping to clear everything using no adapters

It all rather depends on the lift arms and it the pads are adjustable or not, your gonna need about 4 inches of clearance Clarence to get around the steps  Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!
