Dead mirror

My nearside mirror is completely dead, no up down left right or swivel. Drivers side is fine, I've heard rumour of door stations? Could this be the issue? Are they in the doors or could it be the switch unit ? I've noticed the suspension access switch is not working on the door panel No7 - 2003 V8 Vogue
