United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Santorini Black

Plenty have had their car remapped, there are lots of companies out there who can do it, however there are better ones. Quite a few on here have used Pete Bell at Bell auto services. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Presumably chipping improves performance but will it effect fuel efficiency ?
I have an 07 sc 4.2.what would be the benifits / advantages of re-chipping? And is a remap the same thing? Full fat 4.2 Sc

England 2009 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Santorini Black

im new ish here so dont know how well this has been covered, ive read a few threads on here about it.......maybe this should be made a sticky as its a very controversial subject that deserves being debated fully.......id love to get it done and have been quoted £295 including turning off the troublsome EGR units before they fail......is that a fair price?

BUT my 2009 has done 75k and if you believe all you read the turbos are ready to explode any day!......

id like better fuel economy rather than a boost....that said im delighted with her as i get DOUBLE the milage for a tank full than i did the Jaguar XJR 4.0 supercharger....that thing passed everything BUT a petrol station!

I also had 2 XJR SC's, loved those cars Very Happy

Chipping, well I haven't done the FF yet, but my experience with a BMW 330d auto may be helpful.

I bought the car almost new and had DMS remap it almost immediately, big mid range torque boost, quicker all round AND 2-3mpg improvement(except when hooning it Twisted Evil )

I ran it from 22,000 kms to 285,000 over 11 years with absolutely no problems with the engine or box AT ALL.

So I believe that done properly remapping offer advantages with no downside, will be doing the FF remap from BAS at some point soon.
