BMW thermostat

Ok i have upgraded mine with the one Petes recommended and alls well. I'm trying to find the part number for the BMW one that doesn't need altered for my old boys fatty. 2004 plate) He's wanting to fit it himself but wanting a straight off and on job. I've read there's a BMW one similar that will do the job without alteration? I've tried google ect but I'm guaranteed to buy the wrong one Laughing
