Many thanks for the offer, but it all stems from the insurance company's preferred fitting company i.e. AutoWindscreens. In order that I don't pay over the odds and just the £50 excess I have to go through them.

Last christmas when driving down to the alps i had the roofbox mounted. Driving on the autobahn i had a small stone chip my front window and it went up underneeth the roofbox and it cracked the whole panoramic roof on my cayenne. That set me back almost 10 000 punds. Good start on the vacation. |

Fox, the problem these days is you take it to a LR Dealer and they set the apprentices all over it, learning on the job while reading RAVE or another workshop manual, so in some ways, the Autowindscreen type fitters at least do it every day of their job and have seen most things before.
