Huge thanks to everybody who has assisted my cries for help bringing my car up to scratch.. I got the fatty in July from a friend who upgraded to the newer vogue and had quite frankly let the car slip..

Since July I've managed to-
Diagnose and refit new air compressor and valve block..
Remove and re finish foundry grey interior plastics.
Unblock sunroof drains.
Do my first oil change . Engine and diffs.
Source and learn how to safely remove the fattys battery without blowing a finger off or wiping an ecu or 2 .
Refit new tailgate rubber seal and solve my watery boot problem.
Fit new heated steering wheel after diagnosing the old one had died.
Fix rear door misalignment and stop the water coming in and lying on the sill..
Replace all filters in the car
Resynch keys to car after replacing af receiver..
Fit new headlight and indicator unit
Fit 2012 led rear light clusters
Replace every single bulb in the car with led
Calibrate cars height properly
Remove and refit new Pcv valve and all hoses

I still have to fit thermostat mod and flush and replace coolant, fit new seat base covers, drivers and passenger side then hopefully pluck up the courage to fit new brake pads and disks..honestly don't know what all the above work would have cost me from an Indy but I'm delighted to have been able to do the graft myself so a huge thanks to every single member who has been patient with my constant posts and my non ability to properly use the search function/wike

Decided to go with the ever increasing crowd and changed the front sidelights to led today - 10 minute job and what a difference. Not sure where it stands re MOT though, will I have to swap them back for the test? QUID FACIUM TIBI

I think you are ok! My mate mots my cars and he's aware I've done the sidelights/reverse and licence plate bulbs with led and hasn't said a word so I presume it's all good..

They do look good compared to the old yellow bulb though!!

Well done on that lot...

Get the thermostat mod done ASAP... the gearboxes run at a silly high temp due to the high engine coolant temp...

Heat is the worst enemy of auto gearboxes...  Pete
