The MB sprinter bottle jacks have the extra reach needed for the L322. I think the MB supplied ones were blue and extend to 57cm

There is a long topic on here I think about the jacks, and a modded top part that fits the MB bottle jack and the jacking points on the RR, its been a while but I'm sure there is a rubber mount that people use (possibly something to do with the new shape mini's?)

Im in same boat, had my TD6 for 6 years now and only do between 1500 and 2500 miles a year in her. Wanted a TDV8 but couldnt justify the extra cost. Had the TD6 remapped and made it enjoyable again, now i keep looking at the 2010+ facelifts, they look great

to do a 2010 facelift... you need the headlights. these are well over £1000 before you even think of the bumper and rear stuff.
to get the midrange facelift, you can easily pick up parts like headlights, for £100 each secondhand. -find yourself a bumper in same colour as yours, and you are nearly there. remember, people are junking their midrange stuff for the later stuff.

This raises to 52cm. Would this be enough - it's only £9 so much cheaper than a Sprinter one, the cheapest of which is £40. Any ideas if it would do the job?

Thanks

^^ Whistle you've got your mm's mixed up with cm's that jack has a lifting range of 81mm or 8.1cm...the 52 bit that you are referring to is the jacks' saddle height adjustment, which is 52mm and is the amount that you unscrew the top of the jack to make it higher before using the hydraulics to do the 81mm of lifting.

So in short it's only good as a paper weight.... and it will only lift 2 ton, which is less than the cars weight. The Mercedes jack is rated at 2.6 tons Rolling Eyes Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Thanks miggit! You're right about the cheaper one - would only be good for a paperweight. Or perhaps a doorstop? I've just bought the one you suggested so thanks for the link!
