England 2014 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Loire Blue
Fattys gone. PICTURE WARNING NSF FULLFATRR.COM

Fatty was picked up today by it's new owner, he was very happy with it, spent a few hours here whilst we went over all the features.

He plans to go offroading in Spain in it and I can't think of a better one to go in...

A lot of people have been commenting and asking if I will miss it, and how could I sell it after all that work....

It's just a lump of metal, I don't get attached to inanimate objects....

The only reason I had a Range Rover was because it was easy to get in and out with two knackered hips and a dodgy knee, well now they are fixed I can fit back inside my favorite vehicle, a big saloon....

I did fancy something different, something I hadn't had before and looked at A8's and 7 series BMW's along with a few others but I couldn't get away from the call of a Lexus, they are called soleless, it's probably just me but I can't see it, as far as I'm concerned they are lovely, so smooth and effortless...

So tonight I picked up a Lexus LS460, they are a 4.6ltr V8 with an 8 speed gearbox, just under 400bhp 0-60 in 5.5 secs, every feature the Rangie had and a few more buttons to play with...

So, I'm a happy bunny....

Nice pic of Fatty's new owners

Very poor pictures of the new one...

This is one of the many things I love about Lexus...The gearstick, cupholders, radio volume knob, and all other center console buttons have been swapped over from the LHD setup that every other manufacturer, irrespective of price, dumps on RHD cars....

There is also a rumour that they are a little bit more reliable than a Fatty... Whistle

So now I've gone and upset everyone I'll pack my bags......!!!

Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Mr. Green  Pete

Happy that you're happy and sad to see the green beast's story (this stage) come to an end.

End of an era for sure - I have enjoyed the updates on mods and equally so when you had your merc CL on the Mercedes forum (small world and in fact I nearly bought your old one when you were selling it) so we seem to share a taste in cars - Lexus looks lovely and good luck getting a snorkel on it Smile

Please stick around on the forum here though - always good to have your POV and advise.

Darren

I used to have a Lexus LS400 and I remember you on the Lexus forum, Pete. I have only just put 2 + 2 together! Small world.

Funnily enough, I had a text from the guy who bought my Lexus and he reckons it's still running like a Rolex and now knocking on the door of 200k miles.

They are truly fabulous cars, enjoy! Thumbs Up 2006 4.2 SC
