Clapping noise from front brakes

Hi all - when I have the window open and brake and low speed when I first press the pedal inhearligh like a metallic claps just once and the brake work fine. Everything seems type but it happens everytime - any ideas?

If they are like the top it could be worth taking them off and checking for cracks, and if they are like the bottom.. it's the price you pay to stop better Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Hi might - brand new genuine rr discs from Dan at duckworths 2 months ago - shouldn't be cracked should they?

Could be the pads moving in the calliper, or if the calliper sliders are worn then them moving a bit and letting the calliper move against its carrier.

If the discs are new genuine then they should be ok, the only way you are going to find out is to strip them down. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Or the carrier bracket that the calliper is attached to... two big bolts at the back of the brake assembly. They would have to have been removed to replace the discs and might not be fully torqued up 👍 Current: Supercharged 06 FFRR in Java Black
