Passenger mirror hits window rubber

Is there any way to adjust the folding mirrors?

Mine fold on lock ( can’t see a way to change this)

But the passenger side hits the window rubber on the door.

The drivers doesn’t and I’m assuming that’s the way it should be.

Oh and how the heck do you remove the puddle lights? Mine have slight moisture in but I can’t pry them out. They seem crazy tight. Regards

Hi again Daz

There are microswitches in the door mirror for the folding. Sometimes they come loose/part company with the lever actuating them. You'll have to have the cover off, and or mirror to see what's up.

You may want to invest in some trim removal tools. Great for bits like this.

Removing the lamps should? be a case of finding a small indent/hole with clip and moving it carefully then prising said fitting out. I THINK.

Is the lamp you refer to in the mirror or door? The puddle lamp is in the bottom of the door. The approach light is in the mirror.

One other thing, the external temperature sensor is on the passenger mirror, just to confuse things. Cheers
Richard

Hi again to you

Haven't taken the cover off yet, but others on here have reported little difficulty in doing it.

The temp sensor is for the dash outside temperature, as well as unknown (to me anyway) items, but likely be auto climate related. Cheers

havnt done this yet, but just thinking if it would be the microswitch?

From what ive read miscro swutch faults normally stop the mirrors working where my mirror is going to far?

What makes them stop in the position they stop in? Regards

My guess is the M/S will determine the open and parked stop position. If it's out of adjustment it will still allow the mirror to operate but not stop at the correct location.

No harm in taking the cover off (he said) and looking Cool Cheers

Hey Daz

Get the cover off and give us some photos. Better yet, get both covers off. If one's working then you can see what bit of the mechanical parts isn't right. Assuming that's the prob.

Come on, don't be shy, you said you've got the trim tools Twisted Evil Cheers
