United Kingdom 2004 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Java Black
Tyre wear.

Hi All.

I have a 2004 4.4 V8 Vogue. The rear tyres are wearing on the inner edges on both sides of the car, is this correct. In the past I have had several BMW`s that wore the inner rear edges and was told that this was correct. Is this the case for these has they were owned by BMW?

Any advice would be a great help.

Stuart.

I would suggest that you get a full alignment done, which can also check rear camber. Some of the kwik fit centres have the equipment to do this. Regards

I had a 2004 4.4 for over nine years and didn't have that, so agree that your car should be checked/sorted. Only Range Rovers since 1988

Definitely needs an alignment. Dont go to kwi fit though, go to one of the few centres that have the corect Hunter machinery for a complex beast like the FF.

Here's a list of them:

"Red Shed" - 1982 Series 3 88" County Station Wagon
"Spirit of Great Britain" - Rolls Royce Meteor V12 engine
ZG875 - Westland Sea King (cockpit section)
"Carly Rae Jeepsen" - 2006 Jeep Commander 5.7 Hemi

"Pride Of The Road" - 1/4-scale Marshall traction engine - sold
"Georgina" - 2000 Discovery 2 TD5 ES - sold
"Windsor" - 2005 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 - dead

Kwik Fit have either the Hunter system or similar so can provide the same type of checks that the FF needs. Regards

If you go to a kwikfit centre with the Hunter system they do a deal for four wheel alignment if you sign up think it was 99 quid for 4 alignments in a year I need at least two as I change from winter to summer and back again

I never used to be a fan of the likes of Kwikfit but as the tools become more automated and idiot proof(ish) like Air con servicing etc. they seem to offer pretty good service.
I recently had the alignment checked on a Hunter machine at a Kwikfit after I had fitted a track rod end, as they charge for each adjustment they have to make it would have cost me about £60 or the variation on the above offer was as many checks/adjustments as you need for 2 years for £100.
Given how rapidly our cars eat suspension parts I expect to get my monies worth out of them.
So far I can't fault the job that they did and you can see exactly what they are doing on the screen.

Hi all,

Thanks for the information I will try and find someone with Hunter equipment. We do not have a Kwik Fit over here only ATS, National Tyre's and a few independents, not even a Land Rover dealer.

Many thanks.

Stuart.
