Fuel Volume Regulator 2007 3.6 TDV8, (L322)

I have had a look in the Wiki but could not find anything on this so thought I would ask.

Has anyone had any experience of the Fuel Volume Regulator sensor showing a fault?

From what I have learned it is a really rare item for the Fuel Volume regulator to fail in the high pressure fuel pump. It is also a really costly repair as the part has probably been gold plated by Landrover lol.. (it is actually a non replaceable component contained in the high pressure fuel pump itself)

I suppose my question is, is there something mechanical related to this fault that might be causing the sensor to trip which isn't actually a problem with the fuel volume regulator? I ask this just in case I have the repair done and it turns out to be something else?

Many thanks in advance for any advice Smile

Both sensors can be replaced according to a diesel tech here in Sweden, rather costly at around £160-180ea

I have just replaced the HPF pump on my tdv8 due to the what turned out to be the pulley having come undone so I have a wrecked pump that you can have the sensors from if you feel like having a go at it

Ps...I bought a brand new pump for around £700 inc shipping...just an 1.5h job to replace it
