TD6 holding onto low gears when cold

Had the box reconditioned in my TD6 about 5 years ago, shes only covered 16k since then as always been a second car until recently. Noticed the last few mornings she tends to hold onto low gears longer for the first few miles, is this normal?

Hope that makes sense Embarassed

Won't lock up until gearbox is up to temperature. Depending on the weather that might be more noticable than usual. John

Thanks guys, glad that's all it is. Any idea how long on tick-over it would take to reach temperature, roughly?
