Wanted - 58/09 Vogue in Santorini or Java-cancelled

Can anyone give me a heads up if they spot a Santorini/Ivory V8 Vogue in an LR AD in the region of £42K with less than 45 K miles please just in case I have missed it please?
Been looking for 2 weeks now without success so any help would be great.

Java,Ivory Vogue

Looks like I'm out of luck finding another 09 Santorini so may consider an 2008/58 Java/Ivory with lower mileage max £40K cash waiting to save any foreplay, no trade in.
Must be LR AD supplied and 1 owner.

Give one of the team a call if this is of interest?

Shown at £44,900, however we would sell it for £42,900 to a forum customer.

Thumbs Up

Hi James,
I talked to Jeremy last week about the HST and he is looking out for me,I've seen that one you have but it's still £2K above my very highest budget even with the discount offer unfortunately.
I did a great deal on one on Friday on budget but when I got in the car to just check out no problems the mileage was 5K (10%)higher than advertised !!!!
Regards,

Gary,
So would I if I'd got another £2K but the other one was only 20 months old and an absolute minter,at 48K miles it would have been perfect for me,the back seats hadn't even been sat in.

OK Chris I get the picture but I would have been slightly wary about buying a 2009 car with 50k miles on it.

Low Mileage is always the key to retaining value especially with newer cars.

It will be a keeper and I do at least 20K miles p/a so if I keep it 3 years the residual value either way will be negligible as both will have 90-110K miles.
I had a Discovery kept it 5 years and did 150k miles and it was great until SWMBO rolled it and still got £4.5K insurance !
My current March 08 Sport going back (early) after Christmas is already over it's 60K mile limit and costing me 22p/mile !!!
My thinking on the one last Friday was that I'd got until March 2012 on original LR warranty to sort out any issues and then pay £1k to extend the warranty.

On that basis I understand and good luck with your search, £40k is not a bad budget and will get you a very nice car. Thumbs Up

Mick,
I got your PM but can't find your post with the two cars you've found Confused
The only 2 I can find at the moment are just beyond my budget,1 at LPR which is a VSE and the other at GS Wakefield but that is Stornaway but hardly any miles on it so quite attractive.
Just hoping James is feeling a bit more philanthropic towards the end of January Whistle

Am I the only one who has become very disillusioned with what is happening with second hand LR prices, having bit the bullet and raised the bar to £42K I rang on a 58 Vogue first thing this morning listed on the LR search website at £44,850 to be told that was a mistake and it was actually £48,500 but books at about £44,300 retail.
Having talked today to 3 other dealers searching for me they are now telling me that a reasonable discount is almost impossible due to such low numbers available and high demand for every one they get.
I can understand that it does make business sense to maximise profits but wonder how many staunch LR supporters will jump ship due to this short term profiteering adding £1.5-£4K to a £44K car so I'm effectively back to where I started.
Question is now do I give up searching until it warms up and their "poor weather" friends depart or look for an alternative?

I think you are limiting your choice somewhat by your colour choice - I would look for different colour combinations... they are out there

Wanted - 58/09 Vogue in Santorini or Java

Vogue,
I've got Stornaway now and don't really want the same again, would love green but really concerned about resale so will stick with Java or Santorini but a bit flexible on the leather but would really like Ivory if I can find one.
They are out there I found 2 this morning and for about 2 hours felt quite elated but they both fell through as they were beyond my budget which would have secured either of them only a few weeks ago I think.
It's my fault really James made me a great offer on a stunning VSE but at that time I'd limited myself to £40K and by the time I was sorted with some more cash he had sold it to some lucky customer Big Cry
Jem
I looked at G Wagons recently just out of interest can't believe what they are going for now Shocked Banished back to RRS for the moment !!!
