Stalled after water on road!!!

Hi

It started and cruised for 5-6 km and stalled again.
Made home though, what to expect for tomorrow??
Service guy said electric fuel pump may be the problem.

Hi, sounds like electrics playing up, as l/p fuel pump is at the lower end of the ff, I would start there.
small cover underneath, by n/s rear wheel arch.
Greg.

Happy new year everyone.
First i couldnot locate the pump:(
Second the lower part of fender is broken is there anything there behind the wheel that could be affected?

As previously said, secondary fuel pump is just forward of the left hand rear wheelarch and next to the fuel tank cover, under a plastic cover in the sill channel where the fuel and brake pipes run from back to front.

What is the damage to "fender" - if this is rear bumper it shouldn't have affected fuel delivery?

Do you mean the inner plastic wheelarch protectors?

If so, it will be worth removing these to check for rust / water ingress and to effect some form of repair with glue/tape.

When refitting warm them up with paint gun or fan heater to make them more pliable. .

nothing much behind there which could be the problem.

Does sound fuel pump related, like its just getting enough to run for a bit then cutting out which is most likely fuel starvation due to inline pump problems. Have a search there is quite a bit on here about them as it is a common problem. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

its really close to the edge of the car, you should be able to get at it without a ramp. Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
