Isle Of Man
A very sad day.

Well after 3 and half years with my current RR, today was the sad day the new owner picked it up. It was my third one and the best by a very long way.

Not a seconds trouble with it, aside from a holed radiator, but even then it still got me to and Indy to have a new one fitted!

I rarely drive anymore and my wife wanted something smaller for the school/clubs runs so, a new Countryman is its replacement. I can't believe how much extra money I've had to put to this beautiful car to get a bloody Mini!

Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for everything the forums done for my ownership, it's really helped with understanding how to look after them properly. It was as perfect when I sold it as the day I got it and I'll really miss it. Especially the supercharger whine!

I will likely get a L405 when they've come down into the 30/40's after all, we're only here once.

So long for now, though I'll still be looking in.

Cheers Jay. Present* 2006 Santorini SC Vogue SE.

Cheers, it's usually open in a tab so I can drop in and see what's going on Laughing

Wow, you had a fiesta supersport! I didn't know anyone knew what they were anymore, I had one too when I was a pup, Silver with red and black decals on the sides and tartan seats. Wish I still had it, they're fetching fortunes now, brilliant driver. Present* 2006 Santorini SC Vogue SE.

I had a 1.3 Ghia in green with a BEIGE vinyly roof. I think we all had colour blindness in those days but great cars but mine wasn't the sporty S version, it was more 'wanna be sales manager' although when you look at the exhaust pipe size you wonder where the 'sports' came from.

Thanks! But it's mainly going to be my wife's car, I'm looking at transit customs to replace my standard van as I ride track bikes. Though a mate did say today, ... so you getting a 911 as your car now Shocked hmmmm Laughing

I wouldn't say I was experienced, there's a lot of guys on here wayyyyy more able to help than me, but I would help anyone if I can. I also like the forum not just the car, so I'll be around. I'm on UKGSER as a subscriber and it's been a while since I owned one of them too! Good funny bunch over there Wink Present* 2006 Santorini SC Vogue SE.

good luck with the FF holiday.....

I too had a fiesta! 1.1 pop plus with a 5 speed which wasn't quite standard Rolling Eyes , i used to treat it like a go kart. It had stiffened springs and dampers along with wider steel wheels and IIRC goodyear F1 eagles on them. Used to handle like it was on rails. but took an age to get to 60! If I had it now it would be in the corner of the garage forming a small pile of rust and plastic debris as it was starting to need welding quite a lot to get through MOTs. They dont make em like they used to Whistle There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

As we all like a picture, I thought I'd stick a couple up of the pictures I took for the advert. The Mini is the replacement and cost twice as much as the RR! I still can't quite get my head around that Rolling Eyes

Cheers.

Cheers!

All this talk of Fiestas has got me looking for a solid shell and making a modern take on a supersport, they look so cool. There's a genuine one up for sale at 10k! They were good but not THAT good. Present* 2006 Santorini SC Vogue SE.
