Headlights 2010-2012

Hi to all.Wondering whether is possible from the attached photos to tell me whether headlight is bi xenon or not.
Think that the main beam bulb type is d3s and the other bulb is normal halogen one

Thanks for your assistance

If you're asking for MY10-12

Mine is MY11

I have xenon for dipped beam, halogen for main.

to clarify, for 2010-2012, the xenons [D3S] do the dip and main beam using a shutter system, the halogen [H7] does the main and flash..

this is from the WM,

Xenon is on for both dip and main, correct.
Halogen is on for only main.
I have not noticed my xenon beam being deflected when I switch to main. The light pattern from the xenons remains as usual, only difference is the addition of the halogen beam to the xenon beam.
Maybe my shutter system has never worked.....but that is not how I would interpret the WM. just that the xenon beam is on for both low and main beam, which it is.

P 225 of the MY11 handbook

Tells you MY11 has both halogen and Xenon. No mention of bi xenon in the handbook, just Xenon.
And indeed why would you need bi xenon when you have additional halogen for the main beam?

That WM extract says halogens are for vehicles with conventional headlights.
100% my MY11 does not have halogen for dipped, but it does for main. It is not consistent in that respect.
And to repeat, my Xenons are on during both dipped and main beam operation, but I have not noticed the beam pattern of the Xenons to change.
Therefore I believe my Xenons to be Xenons, as per my handbook. Not bi Xenons.

And just to confirm, I recently changed my xenon bulbs for osram night breakers, and the halogens for Phillips racing. They work perfectly.

AKIS.
You say you only have main beam from the HID.
HID = Xenon.
You then say you only get high beam from Halogen.
By main beam do you mean low or dipped beam?
For me main beam = high beam.

Is your issue that your Xenons turn off when you turn the halogens on?
If so, this isn't right. The Xenons should stay on for both dipped and main.

rambles, i would cover your inner main lights with cardboard or similar and then try the main/dip on the stalk..this way you might be able to determine if yours work properly or not. ... - .- -.

Hi Ramples.High beam i mean the one when blue light in dash comes on.this one is halogen
and with main beam which xenon the one normally used in city (must be the low one)
While high beam on main beam remains on as well.

Stan basis that both shutters are stucked, i suppose each headlight has one, is there any way try unstuck them??
but still factory has foreseen in case of such problem high beam to be routed to halogen bulb????

Sorry but not specialist at all

looking at your car profile it says you have a 2004, the headlights are 2010-2012, so is yours a front end conversion ? , if so then i think the conversion wiring might be at fault...
