I think the FFRR just has too many toys that make a demand on the battery even with the car stopped and the engine off. My 1996 Defender 90 is still on it's original battery it left the factory with - it gets no topping up from a trickle charger over the winter, the car gets cold out in a shed and it starts first turn of the key every time so long as I wait until the glowpug light has gone out. Last winter when I was at home I did notice that it wasn't as good as it originally was but there was still plenty of life left in it to start the engine so long as I made sure I wasn't starting with the headlights or heater on there were no problems. The only electrical gizmo that causes any drain while the 90 isn't in use is the dash board clock - it's also a pre-Thatcham alarm Defender (which is why it is locked away when I go to sea!) 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

United Kingdom 2014 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Loire Blue

Hi All,

sorry to pick up an old thread but it seems most relevant.

I have a 2014 L405 Autobiography lwb

Always had problems with battery, Added Tracker and cameras just to make it worse!.

Good battery only 2 years old recently tested.

It has been identified that my FBH is causing a 1amp drain which is obs enough to drain the Battery and I have to charge all the time as I dont use the car often. It has been disconnected.

Any ideas on how I can still have the FBH and also have it for remote use. Could I re route the FBH to the Aux battery?

Many thanks
