Your fault is possibly nothing to do with water, when did you last change the fuel filter? |

As the others have said it sounds like your low pressure pump is at fault so the problem will not go away until you change the pump. |

The pump in the tank was faulty.

To give some useful info if your car stalls time to tim after some loss of power,in-tank pump faulty not front pump.
