Hi All

My TDV8 is in my local garage and drove perfectly on road test after a service and heater changeover valve replacement. On resetting the service indicator the car now starts but has no drive and numerous HDC and gearbox lights showing. Any ideas on what could be wrong, has he unwittingly damaged an ECU?
He has reset the service light ok previously.

It could be that the splines on the gearbox output shaft that mate with the transfer case have sheared. The splines aren't accessible to be greased, assembled with supposedly a life-long special grease.
I had the TC of my 2012 removed at 150K kms to have the splines greased and whilst the splines weren't damaged, the mechanic considered that the splines wouldn't have lasted another 150K kms due to the grease being almost dry at the time.

When my car lost drive the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree with transmission faults, handbrake faults, the suspension dropped itself, and the Hi/Lo lights on the switch were flashing.

It was my transfer box that had failed and it was jammed between high and low range. I stupidly changed the gearbox thinking it was that but it was actually the transfer box.

Have you tried a battery disconnect/reconnect?
