Joined the full fat owners

Well today i took my much loved and cherished Defender 110 Utility Station Wagon for it's last drive in my ownership and returned with a 2008 3.6 TDV8 Vogue in Java Black.
Well all I can say so far is wow.
The drive back up the road was certainly very different to the drive down that's for sure.
SWMBO who never liked the Defender from the day I bought it didn't make the journey but has had a passenger ride this evening and is very happy and impressed with it.
Dog guard to install, need to get some floor mats and then i'll take stock and see what else needs to be done.
Only issue I've got so far is the rear washer jet seems to be blocked (there was a lot of black bits of debris/pieces coming out of the front jets so I suspect some of that must have made it to the rear one as it dribbled briefly then nothing.

Welcome, and happy Christmas.

Use the search function to look up the rear washer fix, they leak into the upper tailgate trim and can be removed and fixed up for a few pence. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Welcome! Do a search on the rear washer/repair...its normally a worn seal in the motor unit..very easy fixed and saves you buying a.new one..

I made a similar transition. We'll sort of. My 110 is still in the back yard. ______________________________

So much for tomorrow, turned out the horses out then went for a fiddle.
Exactly as I suspected there was debris in the non-return valve and the washer jet, cleared them both out and now have water spray, although it only sprays the top bit of the screen.
Looks like it has happened before as the rear trim has been removed previously but not refitted correctly.
Looks like the screen wash has gone "off" had this before, it sort of jellyfies in the bottom of the tank.
When i get a chance I'll shove a hose in the tank and flush it.
Will also order a new wiper arm and blade as it lifts off the screen in places.

Mine did this, don't order a new arm it seems to just need a bit of oil on it,look up how to remove high level brake light.
This will get you access to the wiper arm, all mine needed was a bit of WD40 and lifting on and of the screen a few times, it seized up on the joint area so when it goes down the screen it doesn't follow the curve of the glass gets stuck at the highest point then misses the last half the clicks the spoiler on the way back in.
