The idea has been around for years, had a go at doing a Ford van some years ago, you can run a diesel on 20% lpg into the incoming air, if driven normally it will reduce the amount of diesel you use but by less than 20%... or, put your foot down and you get extra performance...

Yeah, it was a half-arsed thing Pete. The Compressed Natural Gas was a much better conversion. |

the modern day diesel conversion retard the diesel flow and use a knock sensor to adapt the LPG input giving a cleaner burn, however as said above the saving's is minimal, unless you need a dual fuel exemption or do 1000's of miles a week simply not worth converting, I guess if it reduce's the london congestion charge on a daily basis things would add up rather quickly |
