This may sound daft however how much fuel is in the tank? My friend had an issue with his 2004 td6 which had similar issues. His fuel gauge said that he had nearly 1/2 a tank however he was out of fuel. He filled it up to the brim and the gauge must have recalibrate as it has been OK since. 2015 Range Rover VSE 4.4 SDV8. 1998 BMW 840 Sport, 2008 Aston Martin DB9

A lot of modern immobilisers have a feature to decrease the tolerance of signals received and work when they are not getting the correct information, this is to help minor problems, if they continue to get the wrong info they will shut the ECU down...

I got a similar code on the BMW I posted about on your other thread when it wouldn't start, P0193, Fuel rail Pressure Sensor "A" circuit high, thinking that was the problem I changed the sensor and it made no difference, as I say, it turned out to be a bad relay which allowed the rolling code between two control units to be lost and needed to be re coded. |
