2018 Range Rover SVAutobiography 5.0 SC V8 Baltic Blue
Auction

Hi Folks

An excellent resource here – particularly for newbie’s like me! Thumbs Up This is my first post.

I have driven a Landcuriser Amazon for a few days (57 reg) and then a RRS (0Cool for a few weeks. The Amazon is out.

Not had the full RR experience yet – but was thinking of buying this rather than the RRS – I was told RRS model is based on the same basis as the Discovery? The full RR is not? Is this so?

I (can) have up to £25-£27k to spend. The lesser the better! But wish for worry free motoring.

I have been offered a RRS (2.7 td s) for £25,500 – with overfinch alloys (But no parking sensors - seems to be a basic model but has voice and sat nav). It is a 2008 model with 32k miles. [hope no one minds me asking!!].

I have seen this RR vogue on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2006-LAND-ROVER-RANG...3cad2ecd60

what do you folks think?

Is there a big difference in between the drive to RRS and the real RR!?

How about looking at auctions – is this a safe bet?

Many thanks!

Thumbs Up

You really need to drive a FFRR tocompare it to the RRS.
I found the RRS drove like a nice car. Bland. The FFRR drives like something special.

And yes, the RRS is a rebadged/bodied Discovery, but with less seats it's smaller... and more money.
The FFRR is a one-off design. It's The Range Rover, not a Range Rover badge stuck on a disco so it'll sell to image driven buyers.

Not that I am biased of course. Thumbs Up
Knowing what I now know and if I couldn't afford the FFRR, I'd buy the Discovery.

Might be worth trying a Disco, not as luxurious (or fast) as a RR but still very good. *Gone* Discovery3 HSE
