Which is the best Headlamp bulb?

I've done the search and I can't really find the answer to my question. I guess the two best bulbs are Philip Extreme Vision and/or Osram Nightbreaker so any thoughts on either or both would be appreciated, then where to buy as they are pretty expensive.

The reason I'm asking is that I bought a pair of "white box" low cost jobbies and they are OK but not great - I guess you get what you pay for but are the much more expensive bulbs brighter/better ? Confused Geoff

Used nightbreakers a few times seem an improvement over OEM. There are some new bulbs out one of the mag's did a test on a few weeks ago but I think the nightbreakers came back best value for money. Some reports of them not lasting as long but mine always lasted while I had the vehicle.
ta Mine was a blue one! Smile

+1 for the Nightbreaker Unlimited, have had them a month and are better than the OEM and cheap Chinese bulbs I had before. If you want a more bluish white tint then the Cool Blue Intense are also popular. Tom

Osram nightbreaker unlimited are awesome bulbs and legal too. I fitted them to a disco 2 and they are as good if not better than the xenons in the FF. What are you fitting them in? 2004 RR 4.4 V8 Autobiography

So "Lad" from reading the thread it looks like you got plenty of benefit. I seem to have similar problems - lights starts off bright and immediately gets dimmer. The beam pattern looks OK, not too worried about the H7s they seem to work fine.

I'll get some ordered Thumbs Up Geoff

Yes, mine started bright but went dim. The new ones were a lot brighter. Could see further down the road.

H7 and D3S

I think 2010MY onwards have both.
Dipped beam is Xenon 35w
Main beam is both xenon dipped and halogen 55w.
Drivers manual says xenon is also 55w, but this is a mistake.
You want to improve bulbs you should be changing both really.
I have Philipps racing vision for the H7 and Nightbreakers for the xenon.
😄
