2012 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Nara Bronze
Polished Wheels 'Style 12'

Our RRAB 2011 tdv8 is fitted with Style 12 chrome polished wheels ( see image )

I was wondering if those wheels are chrome painted or are really bath chromed, as we need to refurbish them

Thanks

no they are not diamond cut as you cannot see any "ray" tipical of diamond cut

they looks silver painted or chromed

also it is impossible to diamond cut with the engraved "Range Rover" written

As the Range Rover is recess cut into them and diamond cutting is 1/1000ths of an inch material removal they absolutely can be diamond cut.

Diamond cutting is a generic term for lathing the surface off, polishing and then lacquering. Christian.

My 2012 WM had the same. They are polished and then lacquered. Alas the finish is prone to getting 'runs' of corrosion under the lacquer. I had the first set replaced under the corrosion warranty when that happened, but it was not long before the second set started to go the same way. The sparkle silver painted alternative might be more durable, but if you like the look then i suspect you'll need to keep refurbishing them fairly regularly. Only Range Rovers since 1988

As an example, here’s a company that performs this type of work - no connection whatsoever!
