To be honest, I was in the middle of two meetings and a conference call when they called, so I just said 'yes whatever, crack on'. Yes I know....I should have asked, although I haven't found the dealer particularly helpful in the past. Current MY2020

can only think it must be a firmware update on the auto transmission module, but not heard of it my self but as dan said i would ask them to explain what it was needed for...i did read someware about the police having different gear changes, what was the light that came up and what was it doing... V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

It was the engine light that came on in yellow, the car drove fine though and I drove it for 500miles with it on. I'll get the details from the dealer and post the reasons when I get the car back tomorrow. Maybe they will update the transmission to a new 8 speed box? Current MY2020

Yes I did 500 miles with a yellow light on..the dealer said it's OK but if it turns red then stop! As it came on the day before the snow, I decided I was not going to miss the chance of having some fun in the White stuff

Not 100% convinced your dealer knows what he is talking about...

Same here, when the EM light in my 4.3V8 Aston came on the dealership advised me to carry on driving. All it needed was for the engine oxygen sensor to be replaced. No dramas. Current MY2020 Gone: 1 x L405 and 2 x L322's |
