United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Epsom Green
New Front Suspension Arms under warranty

Recently purchases a 2012 Vogue and it has a knocking from the front suspension. Dealer has had it diagnosed as front arms by a local LR specialist after their workshop said they couldn't find anything wrong with it and having just MOT'd the car.

Suspect it's the arms that attach at the rear of the arch but they haven't been specific. Should the tracking/alignment be done when changing these?

Dealer has said their own workshop are going to do the job as they can't get it booked into the LR specialist quick enough for me and to be honest I haven't got a massive amount of confidence in their workshop.

Cheers.

If you don't have any confidence in the dealer's workshop [I assume that's who you meant] then how about saying "you supply the goods & I'll get them fitted?". He may say naff off or he may say ok.
It means you paying the labour to have them fitted, but if that makes you feel happy............? 2012 Orkney Grey Westminster 4.4TDV8 with Ivory interior.........nice!

Hi Fox, It's booked in tomorrow and the LR specialist is the place I would have used if I was getting it done myself. I just wanted to be sure the dealer wasn't cutting any corners by not doing an alignment if it needed it.

I'm reluctant to pay anything myself as the car was supposed to have had an 80 point pre delivery inspection and also passed the MOT with no advisories for what it's worth. On top of all that I've only done about 300 miles since picking the car up.
