Battery - Lesson learned

Had the car in for a service at a main dealer in April 2015 and was told I needed a new battery (£262 Shocked ). Anyway being an idiot Big Cry , I ignored the advice and the car continued to be fine, all through last winter and this summer.

Then a week ago on Sunday I was due to fly out to Moscow on the 08:40 from Heathrow, loaded up the car and got the dreaded click, click, nothing of the flat battery variety. So a hastily organised cab from Kent to Heathrow saved the day.

Battery now replaced by ATS and it has a 5 year warranty, but I had noticed for some weeks prior to the failure I would get a 'low coolant' warning light for the first few miles of driving. Coolant level was fine, so probably an early indication that the battery was about to fail. Low coolant light has not come on since, so all good SDV8 AB MY 2019
