My faith in human nature has been rekindled.
I had an issue with my InControl app on my iPhone 8 or 9 months ago.
Long story but data on phone didn't match that on the car...not a big deal but annoying.
After much tooing and froing with JLR for 3 or 4 weeks, they got Guy Salmon of Stratford-upon-Avon to sort it.
I moaned a bit and JLR offered me a goodwill gesture of a free service next time.
I was a bit sceptical as to what free actually meant (parts, labour, coffee?).
Today GS serviced my car completely FOC.
They showed me the bill that they were to forward to JLR...£735 !!
I wouldn't have paid that for a service (I always negotiate a price before booking) but I was pleasantly surprised that FOC meant FOC.

I do genuinely believe; contrary to opinion, that the dealer wants to help the customer. After all....it is in their interest. Why Pi** off a customer and lose potentially that customer ten fold? reputation, bad mouthing etc. I agree that some dealers really do need to up their game, but to lose custom? Dialogue and negotiation wins the day every time.
I do genuinely stand by my local dealer for quality of service.. They have been outstanding. Williams Land Rover Manchester. Tony

I too would give a big thumbs up for Guy Salmon in Stratford Upon Avon. I bought my Westie from them and they were excellent.
