Just found my FF's door mirror ripped off. It was ok on Sunday, but I haven't been out to it since and it is on the side facing away from the house. Maddening thing is the ff is parked off street behind a hedge and whoever did it had to come through a gate, past my wife fiat panda and setting off two security lights. The mirror was definitely ripped off and not hit as the casing and glass were ripped apart but undamaged - just the casting and plastic cover for the powerfold components. Looks like I will be installing cctv. The worst thing is that they didn't touch the other side that isn't working properly but possibly I could cannibalise the bits from this one when I replace it..... QUID FACIUM TIBI

Thanks, just had a look. Might get the other side as well as it hasn't worked for a while - one of those 'get around to it one day' jobs.... QUID FACIUM TIBI

@Frank....One day my wife decided to check up on our cleaner (as the floor was dry when she got home when not expected to be) and we found out that the cleaner arrived at 11am that day, did 45 minutes and billed us for a 3 hour visit...No evidence of the regularity of this event, but suffice to say she didn't argue the point when I asked for the overpayment i'd estimated for the last 3 months...trust no one...even if they come recommended. Many years ago I once witnessed a guy who was off his nuts literally jumping from one car to another across bonnets all the way around Soho Square. He must have done this to at least 10 cars.

That would be because there's no law enforcement. These oxygen thieves are never prosecuted even when evidence is provided. No deterrent. |

I didn't even bother reporting it as it would not even be investigated, just recorded. In fact they dont even send anybody out to take details anymore, just take the report over the phone. As for informing the rip-off insurance companies Does give me an excuse to take off the door trim - the central locking on that side has been a bit intermittent recently.... QUID FACIUM TIBI
