Vibration when stopped in gear

I have a vibration under load which I haven't been able to trace and now also have a vibration when stopped in gear. I thought they were caused by worn engine mounts; changed 2 of those but no improvement.

Any ideas? Could a worn CV cause vibration even when stopped?

It's not a misfire or rough idle; it's a vibration I feel through my feet. I have 18" wheels with 32" M/T tyres.

edit: i didn't change the transmission mount. 2004 L322 V8

Torque convertor would be my first guess... about the only thing moving when in gear and stationary, hold it on the brakes and rev it a bit, see if it is engine speed related...

If not then something might be touching the engine or drivetrain, with the torque of the engine in gear the engine and box will move slightly, maybe it's hitting something...

Just a couple of wild guesses.... Thumbs Up Pete

I'll have a look. It's smooth once moving but can feel the vibration under load e.g. up hill or overtaking. I sat in the passenger seat once and couldn't really feel it. 2004 L322 V8

Today I felt it in P!

I have an intermittent belt squeal when cold - could a worn/loose tensioner cause the vibration d'you think? Seemed worse when AC cycled but was still there with AC off. 2004 L322 V8

I'm missing the nut for the rear trans mount. Anyone know what size it is? I don't really want to remove the bolt to send it in to the store.

Edit: it was 12mm/1.5 if anyone else needs to know. 2004 L322 V8
