A little worried

Been allocated an approved garage by the insurance company to repair my beloved. Took it in for estimate and informed the technician that it was an Overfinch Aero III bumper that was needed. "whats one of them? it will be on LR's parts list anyway wont it?" Oh dear No body told me there would be days like these

Always worth noting that it's YOUR car and YOU have the right to decide where it gets repaired. I had this discussion a few years back when the Insurance Co were insisting I use one of their repair centres and I insisted harder that it would be the main dealer. It was repaired by the dealer Thumbs Up

BTW, there will be in the policy worrding somewhere about not getting a courtesy car if you don't use their approved places. Just ask the dealer for one.

Insurance companies = one step below pond life on the ecological scale.

Approved garage for an insurance company means they get an amount of work and do it for a reasonable price.
Chance of them knowing what an Overfinch is... pretty low I'd have thought.
I doubt the rank and file at bodyshops drive 20k+ cars.

But if they get the right bumper the bodywork on a Ford focus and a FFRR is pretty much the same when it comes to fitting and painting.

I wouldn't be too worried.

Just make sure it's perfect before you accept it back.
