Drivers side works perfectly. Passenger sides completely dead..im presuming its the motor. Will have a nosy tomorrow. Zero water from jets either so don't know if its something to do with the water pumps affecting it? I'm actually enjoying fixing all these wee problems.. |

Download Rave from the WIKI and read it all... very poor story and a useless ending but you learn a lot... That's brilliant thanks for the info Yeah I've not long sussed that out regarding having the headlights on lol....my solitary wiper works on the first attempt then if I repeat the motion (tried over 10 times it wont repeat the motion) tried pulling and replacing fuse today..nada ...im stubborn and I still have until Feb to get mot done so hopefully crack it before then |

Are headlamp wash/wipe part of the MOT? |

Think its down to the discretion of the testers..i was informed that if the car has xenon bulbs and wipers/jets fitted they have to work as a dirty lens can affect oncoming drivers eyes for some reason? Don't know how true that is tbh... |

The wiper has probably seized inside, I had a similar problem where I couldn't get one to park and on stripping down the mechanical resistance from wear inside was stalling the motor. You can strip them down fairly easily once removed (unclip the tabs on the back) and clean out and re-grease to see if it helps. They can be removed without removing the bumper with some gentle persuasion.

Great! I'm stripping and repairing the rear wiper at the weekend so no harm in giving the headlamp one a wee try as well..nothing to loose and a few extra quid in the pocket for other repairs if I'm successful! Thanks for the advise guys... |

Both of mine were broken inside and had been disconnected and my car was with a mate being repaired and we only had a day to MOT it so ended up buying two new ones for £300! And yes they are part of the MOT if you have xenons but probably still if they are there they have to work

I might have a motor fir that side in the garage. It's 2nd hand, so I'll trust you to tell me if it works, then we can agree a small fee.it had been bench tested ages ago and it did work. I bought it off someone on here ages ago then bought a new car instead! |
