Matty, there are a few posts on here ref this. The most knowledgable contributors say go with the normal regular ones and don't waste money on titanium or whatever the "special" ones are are made of. |

What flipper said... bog standard NGK's are the best IMHO, I've tried them all over the years... certainly don't waste money on the so called LPG plugs, it's just a con to sell them....

I can give you a heads up on this one, I have been installing LPG for some years, the best spark plugs I have found upto now are call BRISK you will find them on the evil bay and similar, thay are advertised as LPG plugs to, they are not a premium price but do run very well, I have had many car's running these plugs

I tried Brisk in a Disco a few years ago... ran fine but didn't last anywhere near as long as NGK's... Also found it's not so important with modern distributorless ignition to use fancy plugs, the coil per cylinder arrangement means the spark is big enough for LPG anyway... Pete

brisk offer a few different plugs the one's I linked to are single node plugs, have had them in all sorts of engines with good results |

Yep, was the multi node ones I tried, maybe they realised the same issue...

that would be the difference, multi node plugs are a no-no for LPG the spark can be sometime weakened with multi node plugs always best to use single node where possible, there is quite a few spark plug comparison websites, found 2 company that offer the plugs up, the one listed above is one I have used many time quick service |

I've just got a set of the brisk (silver) branded ones, delivered for £31 from eBay. I'm not going to set a link, but wasn't hard to find them. I've fitted them today, but haven't had chance to drive it yet.

Just to follow up, (see above) it seems my previous spark plugs, (NGK iridium,) which were recommended by my LPG service guy, have lasted maybe 5000, but certainly less than 10,000 miles. (Haven't got the fitted mileage) They were creating a bad misfire, after a decent warm up, and though was much better when switched back to petrol, was still having a few exhaust pops, and slight hesitation, when accelerating. I fitted the Brisk silver LPG type, and car is now driving fine again, both petrol, and LPG.

Good to hear the brisk plugs have been fitted to another fine machine, I highly reccomend them as a lpg fitter |

I have used standard plugs in both p38 and l322 for the past 12 years with no problems

I have just installed the NGK Copper Core Spark Plug LPG1 (1496) and yes they were pricey. Feeling like I should've done more research after reading this thread. However I will update on how well they do. So far the car has responded better than the old standard NGK spark plugs I had in previously. However proof is in the pudding so we shall see. My car is a FFRR 2007 L322 Vogue 4.2 Supercharged 101k miles. I am running a PRINS VSI 2.0 LPG System with Automatic Flashlube system. Range Rover Vogue SE 2007 L322 4.2 Supercharged 121k. Engine rebuilt @ 120666 Miles |
