I recently had my car on the ramp and noticed that both rear shocks on my car had signs of starting to leak.

the reason they are more is that they are adaptive dampers, it is not just the front shocks which are part of the AD system the rears are too. Which is why they are a lot more money!

So we have a failure rate of 3 out of 3 upto now. Cannot see any wiring to the shocks like the fronts unless its hidden beneath the carpet

The electrical connector is at the top of the shaft for both front and rear.

There is definitely a with and without AD damper so I'm assuming that is why one is much more. It's strange that they are going as they are OEM Bilstien, which are also listed as an option on LR direct. The LR ones are £550. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

If your vehicle has wires going into the top of the front shocks then you've been misquoted on the replacement cost of the rears. |

I fear you are probably right, maybe the service reception was thinking about the older models. Perhaps we are entering the "there's aye something" phase. Only Range Rovers since 1988 |
