L322 Headlight harness

Thanks, I have 2 RR mine is HSE the wife's is S/C plus a Disco 2 here & a P38 DSE in the UK I must be a gluten for punishment!

Had a look on the bay but shipping is a problem and no internal harnesses, will keep looking tho.

I have also mailed JLR UK about this as there is a potential fire risk or an electrical melt down if there is a short in the headlight at some point.

Qatar 2006 Range Rover HSE 4.4 V8 Zambezi Silver

Evening Blankone, if it makes you feel any better I recently changed my sidelight bulbs on my 2006 HSE as one had blown and noticed the same issue. Some very careful lamp changing and a quick tape up with the right coloured electrical tape to the offending area and all was good.

Yours does seem a little more widespread though so you might need a couple of rolls Smile

Prices here are unbelievable for spares, in some cases over 200% more than in the UK. I can't believe its all in the shipping and import duty... somebody is making something somewhere.

I have been getting my parts from Dan in the UK but getting them transported over with visiting family members. Not tried a direct shipment yet although he did say it was possible. Also worth noting that if you source the parts from elsewhere the Dealer here will not touch them. I had to get my front left half shaft replaced elsewhere after getting it for half price in the UK.

Let me know how you get on with JLR as mine will be the same I am sure if I do a deeper inspection. Must be the heat here in sunny Qatar.

Hi Ste,
I am in the process of trying to re-cover the wiring with the heat shrink plastic usually used on wiring repairs, I am fortunate to have my own workshop with some good mechanics/ Razz electricians who are very resourceful! I am just surprised you can't get the harness parts separately, Al Fardan service manager called me this morning said he could do me a deal 12250/-qr for two lamps fitted Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter ! I have been shipping LR parts here from the UK for years I usually use LRdirect and they are very good and the service is quick plus they are not far from me in the U.K. so if by chance anyone is visiting they can bring them saving the postage. Will let you know if I hear back from JLR which I doubt!
