All the lights and no speedo - first for me !

Hi all, have done a search and cant find anything similar, so.....

Borrowed a flatbed today to pick up a vehicle, not sure if relevant or not. Arrived at destination, loaded up, turned it back on and I have a nice christmas tree, HDC. Susp Inactive,ABS etc etc. However and a first for me the speedo has stopped working, I assumed (wrongly) turn it off unplug trailer electrics and all will be good, unfortunately not Big Cry

Any bright ideas, thanks in advance Bow down

Thats my thoughts Stan, upon looking at them closely although it was a newish trailer there was a lot of gaffa tape around the plug, so hopefully just a fuse ( we can but hope ) Rolling with laughter

That will be the rear near side (passenger) ABS sensor, it runs the speedo and all the other things rely on a speed signal to work...

It will be well rusted in, I had to use an air powered die grinder on mine to get all the old one out, when fitting the new one don't use ANY force, it has to slide in nicely with no pressure or you will break it... Also be careful that you don't damage the reluctor ring..

I tried a pattern one as I couldn't get a genuine one when I needed it, it lasted a week... then fitted a genuine one... they even come with a little sachet of grease...

If your lucky it may have a dirty plug or have got pulled out, the plug is just behind the wheel arch liner at the back, around 3 o'clock on the wheel....

Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Pete
