If you are lucky enough to have the pre wiring it isn't too big a job. You'll need a Bluetooth antenna and microphone as well though. Do a search; there's plenty of info on here (or even look on the Bimmernav website). |

That sounds more like the wiring for the (analogue) TV receiver with a pair of SMB plugs.

That plug is meant to go into a telephone control module or TCM that our cars had if you had a phone in it from factory. BMW then made the ulf that did Bluetooth and went in the X5 and 5,series etc, but Land Rover was sold to Ford by then, so it never got fitted to any Rangies. They can be retrofitted though. You need to move about a dozen of the wires in that plug so it will work with the BMW ulf. You have the aerial lead on there, so all you need it a Bluetooth antenna, a microphone for the front a ulf and to rep in the plug. Same with a later digital TVs tuner... It's a straight swap with that unit though!

He doesn't already have a phone in there.... That's why the plug isn't plugged into anything. Most of the cars are pre wired for phone, so the loom is there. The connector for the microphone will be there already, but not the actual microphone....

Right off the back of what's being said I've layer my hands on a 10th gen module, a Bluetooth antenna and a mic... I see above you say pins must be swapped then it's pretty much plug and play... which are these and is there a diy? Thanks |

It is.... Do a search for ulf. I don't really want to go through it all again. There is no soldering. If you take the plug apart the 2,rows slide apart and the connections are numbered. Use a small screwdriver or bradawl to push the little tag down and you can gently pull the wire out and pop it where it should go.

Hi guys just done the repinning and plugged module in then went to do the mic and pulled the cover down but can't find the connector? Any idea where it is - all I can see is the sunroof switch and motor cables? |
