Restricted Performance etc.......

Got a restricted performance message and loss of power driving home yesterday (A23 - 70mph!) and managed to get it home although hills were a real struggle. Seems to have been accompanied by a loud whooshing sound like an air intake when you put your foot down too. Couldn't ring LR Assistance yesterday as had to get kids from school but later started it up and got a DPF full message.
Fine I thought, I'll do what it say in the manual so just driven down to Brighton at 70 in 5th with revs about 2,800. Still getting whooshing sound when accelerate but all ok on performance for about 25 minutes until just turned to go home again and loss of power and restricted performance message.
This time have rung LR Assistance and they are sending the AA (as LR technician not available until later this afternoon)
Any thoughts whilst I await the AA? 2021 D350 Fifty Edition - Carpathian Grey

Thanks Alistair, some useful pointers. Thumbs Up

AA chap arrived within 40 minutes. Sods law, when he started it there was no error message Confused
Checked the turbo hoses but said all was ok, plugged his code reader in and there were a couple of MAF and turbo codes. Got the impression he wasn't that familiar with the FFRR. Rolling Eyes

He followed me home just in case and within 5 miles power lost and reduced performance message again. No DPF full message this time so hopefully the earlier blast sorted that issue Shocked

Have now taken it straight to my local dealer who will be looking at it tomorrow. Fingers crossed it's all covered by the warranty. Very Happy

Having read through some of the threads signposted by Alistair seems like EGR could be the culprit as I had an error code a few weeks ago which did seem to clear itself. 2021 D350 Fifty Edition - Carpathian Grey

UPDATE......

Harwoods have investigated the problem and diagnosed a crack in the offside inlet manifold Big Cry

Fortunately they say its all covered by warranty Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

It's times like this when I see the value of buying from an LR dealer and getting the extended warranty.....no idea how much it would have cost otherwise but I'm guessing at a few thousand Shocked Shocked 2021 D350 Fifty Edition - Carpathian Grey

I haven't heard that there are particular issues with inlet manifolds but you will always get the occasional failure. Only one side of mine needs a replacement.

Still waiting for parts on mine so am driving round in a disco sport at the moment.........now SWMBO wants one.. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes 2021 D350 Fifty Edition - Carpathian Grey
