United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Westminster 4.4 V8 Zermatt Silver
Gearbox Overheating Warning

1 month in to RR ownership, I havent done that many miles but I have started to use the paddles to engine brake. Yesterday the gearbox overheating warning went off towards the end of a 10 mile drive.

It's a 2012 v8 with 42k on the clock.

Is this a common fault? Any tips guys please?

I have a 12 months RAC Platinum warranty but I think it's limited to £3k per problem, so if it's a gearbox change at a main dealer it will cost me big I thinks!!

This issue has been raised before on here by Fleagle_UK : http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic35718.html

In his case a new filter and fluid flush seemed to fix it (initially at least). If Neil reads this perhaps he could let us know if his 8HP70 is still running okay six months later?
