United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Tonga Green
Davidstow Airfield

If you're ever on holiday in North Cornwall, Davidstow Airfield is worth a visit. It's pretty much abandoned and is where everyone in the area learnt to drive. It's popular with model aeroplane enthusiasts used to be a Formula 1 Circuit until it was abandoned due to the constant fog and the police tend to leave it alone...

It gives some great photo ops, as well as an interesting place to explore!

It's a fairly uncommon colour, also most SC are black or silver so was really pleased to find this one. Strangely enough, my previous SC was Tonga too.

It was important that I got ANYTHING but Olso Blue - I've had 4 in that colour now and am absolutely sick of it.

I know that place very well, I lived in Treknow near Tintagel for a few years, but I think that you may find that it is half a mile south of the map position Whistle Stan Whistle Try the satellite view Wink

Best place to let a minor loose in the car, but watch out for sheep Shocked Also there is a ditch long most of the road to keep you out......... but, the road crosses the runway in several places, and you can gain access there Thumbs Up

Ps the road is the Altarnun road from the A39 and the airfield is just north of Crowdy Reservoir (which is signposted) Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Tonga Green

Went back up there again this weekend with "project mini-me" certainly not as sure-footed as the RR, but capable nonetheless.

The Freelander is also Tonga Green, with similar interior and about 70% of the gadgets, I bought it for £500 as the garage told the previous owner it had a blown HG when "the header tank looked low one day" - being a TD4 though I doubted that, so bought it as "spares or repair" and it's been fine since.

The Freelander functions as my backup car for when the RR is in the garage - so it's in use at least one week a month!

Great Pics, reminds me of home (St. Awful)

Also Freelander 1's are very underated machines. Very capable when sorted properly, I keep toying with the idea of a project, and you are not helping Smile 2003 V8 Vogue in Silver
