Dead Stereo - Tried the normal fixes - what's next!

Morning all,

Having scoured the old posts, I have the same symptoms as others - 2004 RR, no radio, light won't come on when pressed.

So far I've tried -

Battery Reset
Fuses
Plugs in the boot checked and replugged - no corrosion.

What would stop the radio turning on and what's the next thing to rule out please!??

As much as I like listening to the V8, radio would be nice too Smile

Thanks in advance.

Just the Radio, the screen turns on and Sat Nav works without sound.

My guess was the amp, but why would that stop the Radio actually turning on??

Cheers

Well my guess would be the radio unit in the boot.... worth opening it up and have a look inside, apart from drowning mine in a river in wales which finished it off it had a lot of old corrosion inside, the plug looked fine though...

If you find too many bits broken it maybe worth the Android route...

There's a 10A fuse on the radio unit itself, under the connection plug on the top. Have you checked that?
Is the radio showing on the screen or is it greyed out?
Same with the dsp is it showing on the screen?
