Might be the battery in the fob and if it is open up one side where the actual key is go round to the passenger side and I am guessing like mine the small door handle cover prises off lock the car manually with the key |

Well before changing the battery in the fob, (still going to change), I thought I might look into the smartphone interference theory because I just need to know now. If I was a cat, I would be long dead!
